QB Devon Modster Decommits from Zona Following OSU Offer
Just days after receiving a scholarship offer from the Pokes, four-star quarterback Devon Modster has announced he is decommitting from Arizona – where he had been a long time commit for the Wildcats.
“Life is about making tough decisions and being able to live with the decisions you make,” he wrote in a Twitter post. “My family and I have decided it is best I decommit from Arizona and open up my recruiting process to ensure I have made the right choice for the future. I would like to thank all the coaches and fans at Arizona for all the support they gave.”
Oklahoma State’s top quarterback Nick Starkel decommitted from the Pokes earlier in the month, and scholarship offers went out to two quarterbacks –Â Keondre Wudtee and Devon Modster – both of whom have since decommitted from their respective schools.
“Oklahoma State offered me last week and I’m definitely interested in them. I really don’t know a lot about the program but I’m going to research them and hopefully set up a visit after the dead period is over,” Modster told Scout.
