Real talk is back.
The eccentric Ramon Richards is headed north of the border.
Oklahoma State’s former defensive back will play in the Canadian Football League next season with the Calgary Stampeders, the team announced Tuesday.

In four seasons in Stillwater, Richards accumulated 183 total tackles, 10 interceptions, two pick-sixes, 23 pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
He went undrafted in 2018 but has spent time on the practice squad and at camps the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He even had an INT in a preseason game last year.

Richards will find familiar company in Alberta, as former Poke Ashton Lampkin signed with the organization last month. Lampkin was at OSU from 2012-16. He had 111 career tackles, five interceptions, a pick-six, a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles as a Cowboy.
The Stampeders have won eight Grey Cups in team history, last winning the league’s top prize in 2018. Calgary finished 12-6. That was good for second in the West Division, but the Stampeders bowed out in the first round of the playoffs to eventual champion Winnipeg.
