Recruiting Recap: Weekend Filled with Offers, Visits

Published

on

Oklahoma State had a relatively big weekend on the recruiting trail with offers going out to several prospects and several big names in town. Although next week’s spring game is almost certain to be a bonanza in comparison, there were key offers made and recruits on campus this weekend to check out facilities. So let’s recap.

Phidarian Mathis – 2017 Defensive Tackle

Mathis, a Monroe, Louisiana native, has the size and frame to become a national recruit out of the talent rich state of Louisiana. At 6-foot-5, 270-lbs., I would be surprised if he doesn’t become a big-time recruit soon. He has offers from UTSA, Arizona State, Iowa State, and most recently Oklahoma State.

Anthony Cook – 2018 Cornerback

The Anthony Cook secret is already out of the bag. He has picked up offers from Baylor, Nebraska, LSU, OU, and now OSU this week alone. The 2018 standout from Lamar High School is a lanky 6-foot-1, 170-pound specimen who picked up an OSU offer during his visit to Stillwater over the weekend.

Timarcus Davis – 2017 Cornerback

Davis is another cornerback offer that went out this weekend. He’s a 5-foot-11 defensive back from College Station.

Jaiden Cole – 2017 ATH

Cole, just like Mathis above, hails from Monroe, Louisana and is a big-time athlete in the 2017 class. He has offers from Arkansas, Houston, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Washington, to name a few. The Cowboys jumped in on him this weekend.
