TRANSFER PORTAL TRACKER

It could be a Bedlam battle to land a transfer basketball player from the Crimson Tide.

Alabama transfer Kris Parker is set to visit Oklahoma State on July 24 and Oklahoma two days earlier on July 22, according to 24/7 High School Hoops. Listed as a 6-foot-9 guard, Parker redshirted in Tuscaloosa this past season.

Out of Tallahassee, Florida, Parker was a four-star recruit in the 2023 recruiting class, according to ESPN, Rivals and On3. He averaged 24.8 points, 14.2 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.4 blocks as a high school senior at Crossroad Academy. He ended up picking an offer to Alabama over offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas State and others.

New OSU coach Steve Lutz has had to use the transfer portal heavily since taking over in April. Eight players have committed to the Cowboys by way of the portal, and Lutz still has two scholarships left after only three players from last season’s roster chose to stay in Stillwater. OSU could use a bit more size, but the Pokes made some ground in that area at the end of June by picking of West Virginia transfer Patrick Suemnick. With Parker being both 6-9 and a guard, it’s hard to imagine he’d have a tough time finding a spot on any roster.

The Cowboys and Sooners might not share a conference anymore, but Lutz said a deal is being worked on to play a Bedlam game in Oklahoma City in December. So if either program can land Parker, the other would have to face him.
