Report: Jaylen Curry Enters Transfer Portal
Curry averaged double figures for the Pokes.
Another Cowboy has hit the portal on the day of its opening.
Jaylen Curry is the latest Oklahoma State player to enter the portal, with On3’s Joe Tipton reporting the news. Curry was a big piece of the Cowboys’ successes this past season after transferring in from UMass.
A 6-foot-1 point guard from Charlotte, Curry averaged 10.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists a game as a junior this past season. He had a particularly strong close to the season. He averaged 11.6 points over the Cowboys’ final eight games, a stretch where he scored in double figures seven times. Curry dropped 30 on Nicholls State back in November.
Curry should have one season of eligibility remaining after spending the previous two seasons at UMass, where he averaged 10.3 points a game.
Curry joins Daniel Guetta and Vyctorius Miller as portal-bound Pokes. There is also a report out there that Anthony Roy is in the portal whilst trying to get a waiver for another season. For now, we’re leaving Roy in our “exhausted eligibility” section of our portal tracker.
With Curry’s entrance, there are still seven Cowboys from last season’s roster who have not publicly made decisions on what they are doing next season.
