Report: Three-Star Receiver Tyren Parker Includes OSU in Top 3, Set to Announce Decision Friday
Parker announced an OSU offer last week.
After a busy portal window, it shouldn’t be long until the Cowboys start making some headway for their 2026 high school class.
Tyren Parker, a 6-foot-3 wide receiver from Kansas, has Oklahoma State in his top three with Kansas and Iowa State, according to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu, with Parker set to make his college decision on Friday.
It looks as if Kansas is the favorite, with a trio of 247 reporters predicting Parker lands with the Jayhawks. Parker announced his OSU offer in January — the most recent offer he has announced. Iowa State was his first offer, coming last May. The Jayhawks jumped in during June.
In his OSU offer post, Parker mentioned new OSU quality control coach Clint Bowen. Bowen has deep ties to the state of Kansas. He was a longtime assistant at KU before being the head coach at Lawrence High School. Whether the Pokes land Parker or not, it appears through Bowen that OSU has a strong foothold in the Sunflower State.
Playing at Shawnee Heights, Parker is a two-way star for the Thunderbirds. In his junior season, he caught 50 passes for 946 yards and 11 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. As a defensive back, he made 48 tackles to go with a pair of interceptions.
Parker is the No. 654 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking, which lists him as the No. 103 receiver in the class and the No. 9 prospect from the state of Kansas. Along with his top three schools, Parker also has an offer to Kansas State.
The Cowboys don’t yet have a 2026 commit, but it’s still relatively early — especially considering all the work OSU’s coaches had to do in the portal during their first few weeks on the job. And OSU isn’t the only school without a commitment in the class, as Colorado and Utah are still after their first 2026 pledges. OSU has hit the recruiting trail hard since the turn of the calendar, with at least 50 2026 prospects announcing they received an offer from the Cowboys’ new staff since Jan. 1 (here are some from the offense and some from the defense).
