Oklahoma State offered under-the-radar running back prospect Jaden Allen-Hendrix on Dec. 3. After coming into town for an official visit, Allen-Hendrix announced his commitment to the Cowboys on Tuesday.

As a high school junior, Allen-Hendrix played at Gilbert High in South Carolina, running for 1,610 yards and 26 touchdowns while catching 17 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns.

Despite measurables that ought to have college programs intrigued, when OSU offered him, it was just the second FBS program to offer Allen-Hendrix, joining Charlotte. He has also announced offers to South Carolina State, Wofford, The Citadel, North Carolina A&T and others. He is unranked by the major recruiting services.

Allen-Hendrix becomes the second running back prospect the Cowboys have taken this cycle, joining Rodney Fields — a three-star prospect from Del City. Allen-Hendrix is the 16th player the Cowboys have taken overall in the 2024 class. The early signing period starts Wednesday.
