Senior DT Darrion Daniels To Undergo Surgery, Miss Remainder of 2018
The Cowboys just got a little thinner in their defensive front.
Senior defensive tackle Darrion Daniels, the most experienced player at his position on the OSU roster, will miss the remainder of the 2018 season. Mike Gundy announced the news Saturday following OSU’s 48-28 win over Kansas.
Mike Gundy said after the game Darrion Daniels will miss the rest of the season. Said he hadn’t thought about if Daniels will redshirt. #okstate

According to Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World, Daniels didn’t travel with the team this weekend and is expected to undergo surgery. It’s unclear the nature of the injury, though a report surfaced Saturday he had his left hand in a splint at OSU’s soccer game on Friday night.
Because Daniels played in only four games, and since he has not utilized a redshirt at OSU because he played as a true freshman, he could choose to exercise the new redshirt rule and return next season if he chooses.
Daniels had seven tackles and one sack for OSU in four games this season. He played in every game as a freshman and sophomore, but missed three last season due to an injury after making starts in each of the first 10 contests.
