Several Quarterbacks Emerging on OSU’s Radar

Around April of last year, under-the-radar quarterback prospect Nick Starkel committed to the Pokes as their centerpiece of the 2016 class. Of course, we all know how that relationship ended last December. But that time frame seems to be the peak time for evaluating quarterback, as several targets have emerged on the radar recently.
Cam Roane, a 6-2, 200-lb. prospect I tagged as a deep sleeper in the 2017 class and left-handed slinger from Colleyville, Texas, is one of those potential targets. Scout reports that Roane, along with his father, made the haul to Stillwater on Friday to catch spring practice at the Sherman E. Smith training center, where the interest is “going both ways.”
Another prospect who could be emerging is Myles Brennan, a 6-3, 180-lb. pro-style quarterback from Bay Saint Louis, MS. According to 247sports, Brennan holds offers from 15 Div. I schools including Memphis, West Virginia, Cal, Wisconsin and others. Brennan is expected to make a visit this coming weekend to Stillwater. I wouldn’t be surprised if an offer is waiting for him on his visit.
