Bernard is the sixth safety to commit to the Cowboys in the past two (2017 and 18) recruiting classes.
2017 signings | 2018 commitments |
---|---|
Thabo Mwaniki | Kanion Williams |
Malcolm Rodriguez | Jarrick Bernard |
Kris McCune | |
Tre Sterling |
At 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, he is about as versatile as they come though. In the first minute or so of Bernard’s Hudl tape, he plays safety, star linebacker and corner. As a sophomore, he recorded 38 tackles, three (!!!) interceptions, a forced fumble and a pair of fumble recoveries, according to Max Preps.
With so many safeties coming in, there is clearly a master plan behind all of this. Bernard seems to be another viable athlete to throw into the mix.
