If you spent Friday under a rock, you crawled out Saturday to a Big 12 that added three more Pac-12 teams.

Arizona, Arizona State and Utah are following Colorado to the Big 12 ahead of next school year. It’s the latest in a week-plus of monumental shifts in the college football landscape, and it may prove to be the death rattle for the Pacific Coast league.

The Pac-12 touted its academics and political standing over reason to not throw Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and other Big 12 schools a lifeboat back in 2021.
