Social Media Reaction to the Mike Gundy to Tennessee Rumors
Twitter has been active since Tennessee reportedly targeted Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy as their biggest candidate. People from all over the country have chimed in to post their thoughts on the rumors.
Here are some of the highlights thus far:
With Duke's David Cutcliffe and Iowa State's Matt Campbell out of the picture, Tennessee has turned its coaching search focus to Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy. Three sources told me UT has interviewed Gundy, perhaps in Dallas. UT offered Gundy in 2012 but he said declined.

For all those saying Mike Gundy isn't an elite coach and doesn't deserve to be paid well by #Tennessee: Before #Bama, Saban won 67% of his games at MI State & LSU. While at Oklahoma State, Gundy has won 68% of his games. Those are FACTS. #MikeGundy

I’m told Mike Gundy scheduled to meet with Tennessee in Dallas today. One source says Gundy is serious about leaving Oklahoma State. Another isn’t: “You might as well say (Nick) Saban is up for the Rice job.” Stay tuned

Worth noting: Gundy said he doesn't have, doesn't need an agent. Also, this quote. #okstate
“But one guy said, ‘Well what if they call and give you a six-year deal at nine million dollars a year?’ I don’t know. I’d probably have to listen. You know? Something crazy.”

If Tennessee can land Gundy it would be one of the great comebacks in college football history.

Kenny Chesney U flirting with Mike Gundy, Baker Mayfield SI Curse & Billy Dononvan still coaches the Thunder. I’m pushing the Oklahoma sports reset button.

Just my thinking…. if you saw the home Coach Gundy custom built, he isn’t taking that job. No way I’m believing it. That house is a masterpiece.

Coaches #okstate should call if Gundy leaves: Fuente, Fedora, Brohm, Venables, Norvell, Leach.
But Mike Holder & regents hired Mike Boynton, so who knows who they call.
Perhaps this would be the time Chad Weiberg officially takes over.

Do we really have to go through this again!
— Todd Monken (@CoachToddMonken) November 28, 2017
If Gundy goes, big IF still, who does #OKState call? Larry Fedora? Todd Monken?
— LandGrant Gauntlet (@the_LGG) November 28, 2017
If gundy goes, boone needs throw all the money at Leach

SOURCES: #Tennessee coaching search update: The #Vols are targeting #okstate's Mike Gundy, but keep an eye on two other candidates they've reached out to #NCState's Dave Doeren & #Purdue's Jeff Brohm. READ: https://t.co/Vu8AgKMLvR

No one is wanting @GottliebShow to get the job if Gundy leaves? He's as qualified for that as he is the basketball job.

If Mike Gundy takes off for Tennessee and Oklahoma State can't hire Gruden, it potentially opens the door (finally) for Doug Gottlieb.
