All-Sports Roundup: Loryn Goodwin Receives Honors After Upset Win
As we head into finals weeks, several of Oklahoma State’s teams and programs were buttoning things up before the student athletes began prepping for countless study hours.
Basketball
Following the Cowgirls’ 87-72 victory over No . 7 UCLA, ESPN named senior Loryn Goodwin the espnW Player of the Week.
Goodwin had 27 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals against the Bruins.

That wasn’t the only award she won for her performance. College Sports Madness named Goodwin as their Big 12 Player of the Week as well.

Equestrian
The Cowgirls have concluded the fall season, which included wins over Baylor and TCU and a victory over top-ranked Texas A&M. See the fall highlights here:

Soccer
The Cowgirls’ new $20 million soccer complex is getting closer to completion. The stadium will be able to accommodate more than 3,500 fans, and it should be finished by the start of the fall of 2018.

Softball
Oklahoma State’s Kenny Gajewski received the 2018 One Dream Zero Distraction Rising Star Award this past weekend. The annual award goes to the best young coach in Division I softball.

Track & Field
Oklahoma State totaled 10 first-place finishes in its first meet of the indoor season at the Kansas State Winter Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas.
OSU’s Mace Metcalf highlighted the Pokes’ accomplishments with a win in the men’s pentathlon. OSU also swept the 600-yard run, with Brandon Singleton and Latriciea Smith winning the men’s and women’s race, respectively.
