Sports Roundup: Men’s & Women’s Tennis Receive All-Academic Team Honors

With the football season officially underway as of Sunday, it’s easy to forget about the non-revenue sports. But we’re here to make sure you’re in the loop when it comes to baseball, golf, tennis and wrestling, too.

Here’s a roundup of news from around the horn this week.

Baseball

Golf

Karsten Creek recently received new sand, which is the same sand used by Augusta National/

OSU golfers Zachary Olsen and Sam Stevens were recently named to the list of Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America:

Cowgirl golfer Linnea Nelsen played in her first professional tournament in Johannesberg, Sweden:

Tennis

The women’s tennis was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team for 2017:

The men received the same award — six from the men’s team were named Scholar-Athletes, which was a new school record for men’s tennis:

Wrestling:

OSU’s Daton Fix and Zach Esposito are headed to Tampere, Finland to represent OSU at the Junior World Wrestling Championships. We’ll have more on that later this evening.
