Stailee Heard Receives Invite to USA Basketball Women’s AmeriCup Team Trials
Heard is vying for a spot on Team USA.
Stailee Heard will be among 21 athletes vying for a spot to represent Team USA in Chile this summer.
Heard received an invite for the 2025 USA Basketball Women’s AmeriCup Team Trials which takes place in June 16-19 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Heard is coming off a breakout sophomore season that earned her WBCA All-American Honorable Mention honors. She led the Cowgirls in scoring with 16.8 points per game to go along with 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists. She was also name to the All-Big 12 First Team and All-Big 12 Tournament team.
The list of invites also includes Raegan Beers, Mikayla Blakes, Madison Booker, Mara Braun, Addyson Brown, Jaloni Cambridge, Audi Crooks, Margaret Doogan, Joyce Edwards, Hannah Hildalgo, Flau’jae Johnson, Gianna Kneepkens, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, Olivia Miles, Khamil Pierre, Reigan Richardson, Kennedy Smith, Hannah Stuelke, Grace VanSlooten and Payton Verhulst.
Once the roster is set, Team USA will head to Santiago, Chile to take part in the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup which takes place June 28 through July 6. Team USA will open Group B with Chile, Columbia, Puerto Rico and Mexico. The winner of the AmeriCup will earn a berth in the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin next summer.
