Baseball
The Cycle: TCU

Since my Google Analytics numbers tell me you guys like reading about baseball as much as Travis Ford likes reading X-rays these days, I’ll keep this brief. I do want to update you though, intermittently, on how some of the non-football/basketball (also known as not-for-profit) sports are doing.
Location: Ft. Worth, Texas
Result: OSU lost the series to TCU (4-2, 0-2, 5-6)
Record now: 6-6
Ballers:
– Jared Womack: .312 AVG | 3 R | 3 RBI | 1 HR | 2 2B
– Zach Fish: .363 AVG | 1 R | 3 RBI | 1 HR |1 2B
Four things of note:
– TCU somehow came into the series 2-5 but ranked 18th. That’s Notre Dame football-level bizarre.
– In the 2-0 loss on Saturday, OSU had the bases loaded with one out in the 9th. They grounded out twice to end the game.
– In the 6-5 loss on Sunday, OSU had a one run lead with two outs in the 9th. TCU popped up to the catcher and he (Jared Womack) dropped it allowing the tying run to score before losing in extras.
– Chase Stevens now has a 0.89 ERA with 33 Ks in 20.1 innings and a .121 batting average against. Those are all good numbers, right?
