The Reload: Oklahoma State Offers Santa Fe Pass-Rusher, 2019 OL

Oklahoma State had a busy weekend both on the recruiting trail and at home base in Stillwater, where multiple prospects made their way to town for unofficial visits. Class of 2019 receiver Kennedy Lewis of Melissa, Texas, was the headline name.

Lewis is a 6-foot-3 standout who picked up an offer from the Pokes earlier this month and made the haul with his family. He even went full Lincoln Riley with the ? when posting pictures recapping his time in Stilly.

Lewis is still mostly undiscovered as a prospect. In addition to OSU, Louisiana-Monroe is the only school — at least so far — to hop onboard.

As a junior last season, Lewis compiled 48 receptions for 1,099 yards and 11 touchdowns, and could be a big target in the red zone at the next level as he’s been in high school.

Houston North Shore linebacker Corey Flagg also made the haul from Texas to Stillwater this weekend. Flagg, an unranked 2020 prospect, currently has offers from Memphis and Texas Tech.

OSU has just one offer out at linebacker for 2020 in Oklahoma Sooners pledge Drew Sanders, an OLB/DE prospect, and Flagg could soon add his name to the list. As of now, OSU is standing pat on Flagg.

Oklahoma State became the latest major program to extend an offer to 2019 offensive tackle Beaux Limmer this week. Limmer, a three-star recruit from Tyler, Texas, has also picked up offers from SMU, Tulsa, Houston and North Texas over the last month.

The 6-5, 250-pound Limmer was the anchor for Robert E Lee and its rushing attack that racked up 298.3 yards rushing per game last season.

The most recent offer, and also my favorite of the bunch. Edmond Santa Fe has been kind to Oklahoma State — most recently gifting them with the talent known as Calvin Bundage — and defensive end Trace Ford could be the latest in that pipeline.

Ford is a 6-4, 225-pound Class of 2019 pass-rusher who has garnered offers from Iowa State, Arkansas State, Cornell and Memphis over the last month.

And finally as I noted over the weekend but is worth repeating again, Oklahoma State also made an offer to 2019 Booker T. Washington cornerback Demarco Jones, his first Division I offer. I continue to hear nothing but positive news on that front. Jones could be a double digit offer guy if he wanted, but I’m hearing that the OSU offer — much like Justice Hill several years ago — might be enticing enough for him to pull the trigger early.

The Cowboys are absolutely the leader in the clubhouse here, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the staff get some good news on this front soon.
