Top 40 Prospect Sebastian Williams-Adams Includes Oklahoma State in Top 4
Could Steve Lutz soon pick up his third commitment?
The Cowboys made the cut for another high-level recruit.
Sebastian Williams-Adams on Wednesday trimmed his list of potential schools down to four: Oklahoma State, Auburn, Vanderbilt and Purdue. On3’s Joe Tipton was the first to share the news. Tipton reports that Williams-Adams is aiming to make a college decision in November.
A 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward, Williams-Adams is ranked as high as the No. 39 player in the 2025 class. He’s a consensus four-star recruit, according to the major services. Along with his final four, he also has offers to Kansas, Texas A&M, SMU, Houston, Michigan, LSU, Texas, Tennessee and others.
Williams-Adams visited Stillwater at the beginning of the month. He came the same week as center Mekhi Ragland, who committed to the Cowboys shortly after the visit. Williams-Adams has also taken visits to his other top schools.
Playing at St. John’s in Houston, Williams-Adams averaged 21.1 points, 10 rebounds and 4.4 assists a game as a high school junior. He played on Nike’s EYBL circuit this summer with JL3 Elite (that’s John Lucas III). With JL3 at Peach Jam, Williams averaged 14.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists a game.
New OSU coach Steve Lutz and his staff are off to a strong start on the recruiting trail. The Cowboys’ two-man class of Ragland and four-star sharpshooter Ryan Crotty ranks 33rd nationally, according to 247Sports, which is good for fourth in the Big 12. If Williams-Adams committed today, it would bump OSU’s class up to seventh nationally and second in the Big 12.
