Top Cowboy RB Target Officially Visits OSU, Meets ‘Idol’ Barry Sanders
What’s a better recruiting tool than Barry’s Heisman trophy? A meeting with the man himself.
Oklahoma State hosted a whole slew of prospective student athletes for visits this weekend. Among the biggest names was four-star Class of 2019 running back talent Deondrick Glass out of Katy High School.
Glass is a 5-11, 200-pound recruit ranked by 247Sports as the No. 230 player in the country and the 13th-ranked prospect at his position nationally.
“It went really well, I liked it a lot,” Glass said of the visit via 247Sports.
Glass has close to 30 total scholarship offers, but OSU is in the thick of it with Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia. In fact, the Cowboys earned the first of a trio of scheduled official visits. They brought out all the stops, too, as he met with Hall of Famer Barry Sanders during his visit.

Glass will visit Ohio State next week and Alabama the subsequent week to round out three of his five allowable official visits. As of now, OSU is the crystal ball favorite … mostly because OSU is coming at him the hardest. But will Ohio State or Bama change his mind?
Ohio State is looking for its tailback of the future for the 2019 class, but Glass, for now, doesn’t appear to be its first option. Alabama already has one RB commit in Keilan Robinson. OSU, meanwhile, needs a RB commit in 2019 and may have playing time to offer up should Justice Hill bounce to the NFL next season. He remains very high on OSU’s radar.
Glass has 1,543 yards rushing on 176 carries thus far this season as a senior and has already amassed 22 scores.
