Trey Rucker Accepts Senior Bowl Invite
Make it a quartet of Pokes headed to Mobile.
For the first time ever, Oklahoma State will have four representatives at the Senior Bowl.
The Senior Bowl announced Thursday that Trey Rucker has accepted an invite to participate in Mobile. Rucker joins Ollie Gordon, Nick Martin and Collin Oliver as Cowboys who have accepted invites. There have been a few instances of three Cowboys going to the Senior Bowl (Rudolph, Washington and Ateman in 2018 or Crosslin, Savage and Bowman in 2008), but this, according to the Senior Bowl website, is the first time the Pokes have sent four.

The Senior Bowl kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 1 in Mobile, Alabama. It will be televised on the NFL Network. Practices for the event start Tuesday. Last year’s Senior Bowl produced 110 NFL Draft picks.
Rucker transferred to Oklahoma State from Wake Forest ahead of the 2021 season. He became a regular starter for the Pokes in 2023, a year in which he made 100 tackles, four tackles for loss and intercepted a pass. He had 84 tackles this past season to go with a tackle for loss and a pair of picks.
The Cowboys’ Week 2 win against Arkansas saw Rucker make a career-high 17 tackles. That came a week after he set a career-high 15 against South Dakota State. A few weeks later, he had 14 against Utah to go with both of his interceptions from this past season. He has recorded double-digit tackles in eight games throughout his career.
