Following his second 200-yard performance in three weeks, OSU receiver Tylan Wallace has been named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to college football’s top receiver by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club.

Wallace, the true sophomore who saw the field sparingly behind a star-studded senior class including last year’s winner James Washington, quickly took over the Cowboys’ No. 1 receiver role with a 10-catch, 166-yard effort in Week 2 against South Alabama. And he hasn’t slowed down since.

On Saturday in Norman, Wallace secured his seventh triple-digit outing in the second quarter. His 220 yards on 10 catches also resulted in two touchdowns. But his first big chunk play provided a dramatic opening statement for the Pokes that they would not roll over following a quick Sooner score.

That impressive Bedlam showing was the eighth-highest receiving total in OSU history. His 222-yard performance against Texas is seventh. Wallace has 68 catches for 1,282  yards and nine TDs through 10 games. He was not included on the Biletnikoff Award’s preseason watch list.

Oklahoma State is the only school to boast multiple Biletnikoff winners — Justin Blackmon in 2010 and 2011, and James Washington in 2017. This year’s winner will be awarded live at The Home Deport College Football Awards show on December 6.
