Todd Monken is going to Cleveland, and he’s taking Tylan Wallace with him.

After spending the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, Wallace signed with the Flock’s AFC North rival Cleveland Browns, as first reported by Mary Kay Cabot.

A former OSU offensive coordinator, Monken was coordinating the Ravens’ offense the past three seasons. Monken and Wallace didn’t cross over in Stillwater, as Monken’s latest season with the Cowboys was in 2012 and Wallace didn’t get there until 2017.

Wallace ranks in the Top 6 in OSU history in catches (205), receiving yards (3,434) and receiving touchdowns (26). He joins Rashaun Woods, Justin Blackmon, James Washington and Hart Lee Dykes as the only OSU receivers in the Top 6 of all of those lists.

His best statistical season at OSU came as a sophomore in 2018. He caught 86 balls from Taylor Cornelius that season, gaining 1,491 yards and scoring a dozen touchdowns. He also had the lone rushing TD of his college career that year.

The Ravens took Wallace in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Across his five seasons in Baltimore, Wallace caught 22 of his 35 targets for 305 yards and two touchdowns. Those two TDs came in the past two seasons.

His most famous moment in a Ravens uniform came on special teams, though. Wallace housed a punt return during the 2023 season to beat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime.

Here’s to hoping with Monken at head coach that Wallace gets unleashed a little more with the Dog Pound.
