Washington, McCleskey Named to Biletnikoff Award Watch List
James Washington and Jalen McCleskey have been named to the 2017 Biletnikoff Award Pre-Season Watch List, it was announced on Tuesday.
The dynamic Cowboy receiving duo, which shall henceforth be referred to as the “Killer J’s,” combined for 2,192 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns last season and enter 2017 with high expectations behind the arm of senior quarterback Mason Rudolph.
Washington opted to spurn a chance at an early exit and NFL entry by returning for his senior season, and as a result, he likely enters the 2017 season as a front-runner to win the award. He leads all active receivers from Power Five conferences with 2,923 career receiving yards and a remarkable 19.2 yards per reception average through three seasons, and would join former OSU receiver Justin Blackmon as the only Cowboy to win the award.
