Watch: Marcus Smart’s Heroics Win Out in Wild Celtics Finish
Marcus Smart’s late-game heroics almost singlehandedly helped the Boston Celtics overcome a daunting deficit with under 10 seconds remaining against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.
In the final 10 seconds of the game with the Celtics down 3, here’s what Smart did to push his team to the dub.
• Assist (which lead to Jayson Tatum dunk)
• Drawn charge on James Harden (which lead to Al Horford jumper)
• Another drawn charge on James Harden
Check out the final sequence in all its beauty from TD Garden — it’s truly a masterpiece of Smart’s game and what he does well. As SportsCenter put it on Twitter (which I agree with), it’s the most Marcus Smart ending you’ll ever see.
It also capped an unlikely 26-point comeback effort against the Rockets.
