WATCH: QB Nyc Burns Getting Offseason Work with Paul Smith
Berryhill quarterback and soon-to-be Oklahoma State walk-on Nyc Burns is wasting no time in the offseason in preparation of his transition to the next level.
Not only has he made it a priority to make it to as many spring practices as he can, he’s also working with quarterback trainer Paul Smith to improve mechanics and get offseason work with drills in.
Paul Smith says Burns has all the physical tools to be a starter at OSU. And he certainly looks the part. He has really good mechanics, and definitely has the frame to grow into a good size standing at 6-5.
Most impressive is his mobility outside the pocket. It’s just a drill and obviously not live football, but he has pretty good accuracy on the move. Something that is very difficult to teach.
