Week 11 Bowl Projections: Camping World or Alamo Predicted by Most
Bedlam has come and gone, and Oklahoma State looks destined to finish third or worse in the Big 12 this season. Because of that, they have been bumped from all but the most optimistic prognosticators’ NY6 projections.
Let’s take a look.
| Outlet | Bowl | Team |
|---|---|---|
| USA Today | Camping World | N.C. State |
| CBS Sports | Alamo Bowl | Arizona |
| ESPN (Kyle Bonagura) | Alamo Bowl | Washington State |
| ESPN (David Hale) | Alamo Bowl | Washington State |
| SB Nation | Camping World | Virginia Tech |
| Bleacher Report | Alamo Bowl | Washington State |
| Sports Illustrated | Fiesta Bowl (NY6) | Wisconsin |
| Sporting News | Camping World | Syracuse |
| The Score (Brett McMurphy) | Alamo Bowl | USC |
| The Athletic | Camping World | N.C. State |
Playing Syracuse in a postseason game is not how I thought either the football season or the basketball season was going to go this year. Alas.
Also, how about Sports Illustrated riding for the brand?! I had to triple-check the date to make sure I wasn’t looking at last week’s projections. But I do think a NY6 game is not really out of that question. It’s not even that big of a stretch.
You have to win out, and then hope that a couple of top 10 or top 12 teams projected into NY6 bowls ahead of you lose a few games. Miami? Capable. Washington? Sure. Virginia Tech? Also could happen. UCF? Still plays South Florida.
So it’s not out of the realm of possibility that OSU still goes to the Peach Bowl, Cotton Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. Unless they lose this weekend at Iowa State. Then it’s definitely out of the realm of possibility.
I understand this season hasn’t gone the way we want it. But a year that ends with Oklahoma State as a 11-2 Peach Bowl champ over Auburn? That’d be a hell of a thing, and it could certainly happen depending on how the rest of November goes. I’m here for it, too. Just anything but the Camping World vs. Syracuse ?
