Why Oklahoma State’s Drop in CFB Playoff Odds to 100-1 is Not a Big Deal
Oklahoma State’s odds to win the College Football Playoff are getting worse and I’m not totally sure why. This summer, they started out as 66-1 to win it all.
Bovada released its most recent odds on Wednesday and OSU is now a 100-1 longshot to be the last of the four Playoff teams standing in January. I asked Bovada Sporsbook Manager Kevin Bradley what was up.
“66-1 to 100-1 is very small in perspective, as it is only about a 1 percent difference in chances for them to win it all,” said Bradley. Interesting, I would not have guessed it to be that small.
“But the main reason for the slight move was that we were seeing very little money on them, and as other teams came down in odds they drifted off a tad.” This is the usual reason teams get their odds bumped. Nobody likes them at their current number so books raise it to bring in more cash. OSU at 100-1 should do the trick.
Its odds to win the Big 12 have also gone from 6-1 to 7-1 in the latest release by Bovada.
