Zach Sinor Out Indefinitely After Undergoing Hernia Surgery

Published

on

Oklahoma State’s starting punter, Zach Sinor, underwent surgery this week to repair a hernia and is out indefinitely, a source told Pistols Firing.

Sinor started all 13 games for the Cowboys last season. He logged 38 punts and averaged 43.1 yards per punt. He also recorded five total touchbacks on the season.

The source tells Pistols Firing that Sinor is expected to return at some point this season, though an exact timetable is unknown at this time. Recovery from hernia as treated with surgery can vary based on severity and type.

With Sinor out indefinitely, redshirt senior Matt Hockett should see an increased role as OSU’s punter in the interim.

PFB will continue to update this developing story.
