Four-Star Running Back Lyn-J Dixon Picks Clemson over OSU

The Cowboys lost out on four-star Georgia running back Lyn-J Dixon, who picked reigning national champion and current No. 1 seed Clemson over the Cowboys in what had become a two-school race.

What would have been a coup for the Cowboys would also have been a luxury with OSU returning a deep and talented running back stable headlined by Justice Hill and with the likes of J.D. King, Chuba Hubbard and others still in the fold.

All 22 of Oklahoma State’s verbal commits signed early on Wednesday, the opening of the new Early Signing Period. The Cowboys still have two scholarships available for the 2018 class that could be filled by the end of the period on Friday December 22 or on National Signing Day in February.

The 23rd scholarship went to Patrick McKaufman at the end of the summer. He is counted in OSU’s 2018 class.
