Mason Rudolph Injury Update: QB Reportedly Out of Walking Boot
It’s a busy time of year for NFL Draft hopefuls with the combine around the corner, and all signs point to Mason Rudolph — who had to sit out the Senior Bowl due to a foot injury — recovering in plenty of time to showcase his talents.
According to CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso, Rudolph is now out of his restrictive walking boot and working out in preparation for the combine, which is now less than one month away.

Last week in an interview with NFL Network, Rudolph laid out a timeline that seems to be lining up with his recovery process thus far.
“After this week, it will have been three weeks in the boot,” said Rudolph. “Met with the doctors at USC, Dr. Anderson, who recommended I not play in the game … I’ll be out of [the boot] in a week, then start upping physical therapy and should be 100 percent for the combine.”
The official NFL Draft combine participant list won’t be posted until early February, but Rudolph will be alongside one of at least three OSU stars at the showcase event, as well as WRs James Washington and Marcell Ateman.
Ramon Richards, Kirk Tucker, Chris Lacy, Gyasi Akem, Malik Kearse, Brad Lundblade and Tralund Webber are also eligible for the combine, as is Darius Curry, Jerel Morrow, Tre Flowers, Chad Whitener, Dawson Bassett, Zach Crabtree, Ben Hughes, Aaron Cochran, DQ Osborne and Vili Leveni.
In the latest mock draft from CBS Sports, Trapasso has both Washington and Rudolph being picked within five spots of each other in the first round.
