Four-Star Class of 2019 Receiver Demariyon Houston Names OSU in Top 7

Oklahoma State holds two commitments from standout in-state prospects in its 2019 recruiting class in four-star tight end Grayson Boomer and three-star cornerback Demarco Jones, and is closing in on a third in OKC-area receiver Demariyon Houston.

The four-star prospect from Millwood High School announced Thursday on his Twitter that he has trimmed his schools, and they are Oklahoma State, Texas, Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Minnesota and Ole Miss.

“I’m looking at a school that’s going to teach me how to be a husband, a father to my family, and I’m really just going to get my degree,” Houston told GoPokes.com recently. “I’m going to use football (to do that).”

Houston is a 6-foot, 165-pound prospect who is best known as a burner out of the receiver position. He missed half of last season due to injury, but he didn’t lack for tape to throw in his highlight reel. From special teams return man, to stretching the field vertically outside, or even getting up field and getting open in the middle of the field out of the slot, Houston can do a little bit of everything.
