Source: Blake Barron Suffered Torn ACL, MCL in Practice Injury
Freshman linebacker Blake Barron suffered a torn ACL and MCL at practice on Wednesday, a source told Pistols Firing.
He learned of the news on Friday after undergoing an MRI.
Barron was impressing in fall camp but a freak accident at practice in which a safety inadvertently landed on his knee as he plugged a gap on defense caused the season-ending injury.
Because both the ACL and MCL were torn in the accident, the source told PFB, Barron will delay surgery for three weeks to allow for the swelling to go down.
PFB will update this story as we learn more.
