WR Target Langston Anderson Breaks Down OSU Visit, Next Steps
One of OSU’s top marks for 2019 talks Gundy, Dunn and the Pokes’ future at QB.
Three-star wide receiver prospect Langston Anderson, a 2019 recruit from Midlothian, Texas, made an official visit to Oklahoma State this weekend where he says he saw plenty of things he was looking for.
“It was great,” Anderson told PFB. “Learned a lot, talked to the coaching staff. It was nice.”
Anderson says his favorite takeaway from his trip to Stillwater was a personal meeting with the head man and his (potentially future) position coach, Kasey Dunn.
“My favorite part was sitting and talking with [Coach Gundy] and hearing how he works as a coach and with the players,” he said. “And [hearing from] Coach Dunn, how he works with the wide receivers was really good.”
Anderson, a 6-1 pass-catcher who has two dozen scholarship offers, also went in-depth in an interview about his visit with Rivals, where he talked optimistically about the Spencer Sanders-led future.
“It was nice,” he told Rivals. “I saw that they’re struggling at quarterback but they have Spencer Sanders who is going to be in there next year. He’s going to be a really good player. The future is bright. I got to meet Coach Gundy and sit down and talk with him and that was amazing.. I liked what he talked about. The wide receivers coach is a real good coach and you can tell he knows what he’s doing and the whole staff was treating me like family. I had a good time.”
Anderson tells PFB he’ll be dropping a top four soon and intends to sign on Dec. 19 via a commitment video on Twitter.
