Chris Lacy Promoted to Detroit Lions Active Roster
With two games remaining, Lacy will finally get his chance to make plays on Sunday.
Former Oklahoma State wideout Chris Lacy got his Christmas present a couple of days early. On Saturday, the Detroit Lions promoted Chris Lacy to the 53-man active roster ahead of their home finale against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
The Lions are making a move on their 53-man roster, adding WR @Gifted_CLacy, according to agents @AISM_sports and @OSMG_LLC. Nice to see Lacy finally get his shot.

Lacy was originally signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent before being picked up by the Lions from the waiver wire prior to the start of the season, where he has contributed on the practice squad ever since. This will be his NFL debut if he sees the field, and it’s likely he will.
The NFC North’s last-place Lions have been decimated by injury, especially in their receiving corps. This roster move comes on the heels of the announcement that Bruce Ellington will be inactive with a hamstring injury.
Lacy showed some nice things for Detroit during the preseason, including a TD catch in during the Lions’ final exhibition game, but was cut when the roster was finalized. Lacy amassed 920 receiving yards and five touchdowns over four years at Oklahoma State.
The Lions host the Vikings on Sunday at 12 p.m. and finish their season on December 30 in Green Bay against the Packers.
