Daily Bullets (June 3): Holliday’s Pokes Playing It Back Today
Something to get you through a case of the Mondays: you get to watch this Cowboy Baseball team play again tonight.

OSU Bullets
• So the Pokes lost to a team that I didn’t know had baseball AKA UConn and here’s how it went down.
The Cowboys gave up three runs in the first two innings but got two back in the top of the third. Things wouldn’t get closer from there, though, as the Huskies would pull away after the seventh inning stretch to force an elimination game. [PFB]
Pokes get to play it back tonight at 6 p.m. at the Brick – look out for a hulk smash to take down all the other letters in the outfield.

• Berry Tramel walks us through the upcoming change in the Big 12’s third-tier rights with the revenue numbers release.
In the Big 12, each school retains its own third-tier content – one football game per year, several basketball games and a bunch of the other sports.
Most Big 12 schools make little money on third-tier rights, but the conference has signed with ESPN-Plus, ESPN’s internet-streaming service which will place those events on a bigger platform, though that is not expected to produce immediate financial results.
However, OU and Texas are excluded from the ESPN-Plus package. [NewsOK]
The change goes into effect this summer (OSU rights -> ESPN+), more details can be seen here from this April piece.
• Word emerged yesterday evening that the Pokes secured a commitment from three-star offensive linemen from the Pacific southwest. Here’s a bit of early analysis on the newest football commit, Cade Bennett.
(Bennett’s) pass blocking is not quite as good as his run blocking because his strength and working forward is really powerful, but he mirrors well and that is a big part of pass blocking. Something else you have to like is Bennett’s versatility as he has played center, guard, and offensive tackle. He is likely a guard or center in his college career.
You can tell that he plays with some attitude and you have to like that in offensive linemen. Some of that may be because Notre Dame Prep uses him both ways, so he plays some defense. [GoPokes]
Another mauling, land mover up front? Yes, please. I’m glad to see the new staff continuing to make a push signing offensive linemen even after Josh Henson’s departure.
• Cowgirl Softball landed a transfer right after their World Series exit
• Why some high schoolers are heading overseas for a year instead of playing college basketball
• I could watch videos like this all summer.
One Saturday closer… #okstate #GoPokes
