OSU Baseball: Times, Dates Announced for Lubbock Super Regional
The details you need to plan your weekend around.
When Colin Simpson tossed the ball to first base for the final out of the Oklahoma City Regional on Monday night, he and the Cowboys knew that their road to Omaha ran through Lubbock. On Tuesday morning, they were able to plan their itinerary.
Oklahoma State and Big 12 champs Texas Tech will face off starting Friday afternoon at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday evening and the if-necessary game is slotted for Sunday evening.
Friday at 2 p.m. on ESPN2
Saturday at 5 p.m. on ESPNU
Sunday at 5 p.m. (in necessary) on ESPNU
The Cowboys went 0-3 in Lubbock in the end of April but as Josh Holliday pointed out after the win over UConn Monday night, this is a different team.
“We’ve grown leaps and bounds and we’ve had moments and experiences that have helped us grow from that,” said Holliday. “That series helped us. It forced us to either go all-in or just float off like all of the rest of the teams that don’t really, really have that investment.”
