Daily Bullets (Jan. 19): OSU ‘In the Race’ for the Big 12 in 2020
It would have been the most Oklahoma State thing ever to lose the first four Big 12 games and beat the No. 2 team in the country. Alas.
Bullets Rundown
• OSU wants a ticket record
• Gundy says OSU is in the Big 12 race
• Hoops narrowly falls to Baylor
Scores
• MBB: Baylor 75 | OSU 68
• Wrestling: OSU 30 | Pitt 10
OSU Bullets
• OSU is trying to sell 51K tickets, and it’s also moving the band from the west end zone to the northwest corner of the stadium. Lots going on!
• Gundy says OSU is in the race.
“What we’ve done, we’ve solidified and we’ve qualified,” Gundy told The Oklahoman. “We’ve got a spot in the Kentucky Derby. We’re in Gate No. 4. We’ve got a lot of training in order to do it. We’re going to be in the race. Now we’ve got to take care of our business over the next nine months, and that’s really what it’s about.” [NewsOK]
Put it in my veins. ?
• New OSU QBs coach Tim Rattay compared to James Bond (?), but one of his former QBs also sings his praises as a person and as a coach.
• Awesome story here by Jacob Unruh about why Robin Ventura is headed back to school and to be a student-assistant for OSU.
• OSU falls to Baylor, despite leading for most of the game. Good thoughts here by Marshall Scott.
• Wrestling made up for the loss by beating Pitt in a GIA nightcap.
• Mike Gundy says Kasey Dunn came back to OSU without the promise of the offensive coordinator title. Which means Monken was probably in play at some point along the way.
• Barry’s laugh! (one curse word in here).

• This is awesome.
Coach Sutton! One of the best! He told me he made sure to wait and come see me AFTER the game and not during the second half while I waited in the back. LOL. pic.twitter.com/fykMjquTP0

• You should be following Peyton.
He's back. Canada's Cowboy makes his return in 2020. Here's some highlights from our Heisman and Doak Walker campaign last season. I'm excited to start building on this, right now. ???#gopokes #okstate #canadascowboy #hubbardforheisman #smsportshttps://t.co/ZQbGs3lS72

Non-OSU Bullets
• How does LSU fit into the “best team ever” conversation?
• I can’t get enough of the Astros scandal. Every article is more insane than the last!
• This on Stuart Scott is tremendous.
• This on Phil Mickelson’s fasting habits is so good.
• Simmons about to be (even more) rich.
