OSU Athletics Reports 17 Active COVID Cases, None within Football
There was a big jump somewhere.
COVID-19 cases within Oklahoma State Athletics have been at zero for three weeks, but there was a big jump reported Monday.
OSU reported that there are 17 active COVID-19 cases among its athletic teams, but none of those cases are on the football or soccer programs. All 17 fall under OSU’s “all other sports active cases.” Before this week, OSU also had a cross-country section, but that wasn’t on Monday’s release.
The 17 active cases are the second-most OSU has reported since giving these weekly updates in late August. The update of tests through Sept. 4 revealed 19 active cases of the virus, seven of which were on the football team.

Since June 1, OSU reports it has had 145 cases of COVID-19, but again, only 17 of those are active.
