Let’s jump right in.
Just like with a band-aid that’s been on a sensitive patch of skin too long, there’s only one thing you can do.
This latest episode of Bedlam was a particularly tough one to stomach. After a pair of all-timers (OSU losses notwithstanding) in 2017 and 2018, we’ve witnessed back-to-back games against OSU that were not even close.
• Marshall Scott laid out his 10 Thoughts on OSU’s loss, they were thoughtful and good as always.
• Kyle Boone handed out report cards to the Cowboys after the rout and it was ugly.
• The Oklahoman‘s Jacob Unruh on the chaos that could ensue given OSU’s slim chance to still make the Big 12 title game.
*A scenario exists that puts the Sooners at home on Dec. 19 even if they win their remaining games. If OSU wins its next three to finish 7-2, Texas beats Iowa State but then loses to Kansas State, a three-way tie atop the standings is created. The tiebreaker is settled by each team’s record against the fourth-place team, which would be Kansas State. OSU and Iowa State would advance to the title game. [NewsOK]

For Oklahoma State, this season was expected to be special and include the program’s first Big 12 Championship game appearance. Now, I wonder where the Cowboys are psychologically. I wonder whether they’ll beat Texas Tech, and I wonder who’ll be at quarterback for Gundy. [Tulsa World]
