โข After a couple of relative off-weeks, take a look at how OSU’s defense compares to those of previous years
โข Bill Haisten did some digging and found Gundy’s job to be safe – but my goodness, these win/loss numbers from recent years were unsettling:
In its past 30 Big 12 games, OSU is 15-15. A loss at 2-6 Baylor would drop that mark to 15-16.
During a 30-game Big 12 span in 2010-13, the Cowboys were 22-8. Thatโs the standard against which todayโs Gundy program is measured.

โข Mike Gundy juxtaposed two options that beg consideration: would you rather have a dream season and two down years or win more than average every year?
Would you take one dream season and a rebuilding year and trade it in for two consistent, average seasons? Not sure I would want to choose, but obviously the one where you put yourself in position to win the league is the preferred path.
