Three-star Linebacker Jaylen Boardley Commits to Oklahoma State
OSU secures its fifth commitment in the 2024 cycle.
Oklahoma State landed a commitment from a three-star Class of 2024 linebacker overnight as Jaylen Boardley, a 6-foot, 190-pound athlete from Pleasant Grove High School in east Texas, committed to the Cowboys. Boardley chose OSU over a dozen other offers including Arkansas, Baylor and LSU.
Boardley’s commitment comes as he’s on an official visit to OSU this weekend, so things seem to be going quite well. He announced the news on social media just after 11:30 p.m. local time.
OSU offered Boardley a scholarship back in February and has been in hot pursuit of him ever since, culminating with the visit — and commitment — this weekend. OSU made up significant ground despite joining the race relatively late in the process after Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor, Arkansas and others had already offered.
247Sports rates Boardley as nearly a four-star recruit with an 89 overall grade, which makes him the No. 28 linebacker in the country and the No. 50 prospect in Texas. In the composite rankings that makes him a top-600 national athlete, which puts him right now as the second-highest ranked OSU commit in the 2024 cycle behind only Willie Nelson.
