ESPN’s College GameDay Crew Unanimously Picks Texas to Defeat OSU in Big 12 Championship
The Cowboys are two-TD underdogs in Arlington, so it should come as no surprise that the ESPN crew is going with the Longhorns.
The panel, including celebrity guest picker comedian Theo Von, unanimously picked the Longhorns to win the Big 12 trophy on their way out of the conference. And the general consensus was that it would, ultimately, would not be close.
Desmond Howard got things started calling for UT to take care of business before throwing up the Hook’em Horns.
Pat McAfee agreed, quickly stating that UT was going to win convincingly in its final Big 12 game.
Von, who’s football analysis was a bit lacking throughout the segment, claimed that he’s a fan of Steve Sarkisian.
Von got a “Nice pick” from Lee Corso.
Kirk Herbstreit said “Oklahoma State is a lot like Iowa” (in that they can find ways to win) but didn’t think the Cowboys could hang for the whole game. “Maybe for a half, but Texas has too much speed.”
OSU and Texas kickoff at 11 a.m. on ABC.
