Four-Star Cornerback Zadian Gentry Includes Oklahoma State in Top 8
The Cowboys are in search of their first commitment in the 2025 class.
The Cowboys are in search of their first commitment of the 2025 cycle, and it feels like they’re getting closer.
After landing in the top group for top-50 prospect Chad Woodfork last week, the Cowboys also landed in the top group for four-star cornerback Zadian Gentry. Gentry cut his list to eight this past weekend: Oklahoma State, Auburn, TCU, SMU, Arkansas, Baylor, Wisconsin and Nebraska.

Out of McKinney High School, Gentry is a four-star prospect, according to On3, a service that lists him as the No. 273 player in the 2025 class. He is listed at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds.
Playing alongside OSU signee Jonathan Agumadu this past season, Gentry made 41 tackles, intercepted a pair of passes and had four pass breakups as a junior, according to MaxPreps.
OSU offered Gentry back in May.
The Cowboys are one of five Big 12 schools without a 2025 commit at this point, joining Colorado, Iowa State, Houston and Kansas State, but it is still early in the 2025 cycle. Baylor is off to an early lead in the Big 12’s 2025 rankings, according to 247Sports, as the Bears have five commitments in a class that ranks 18th nationally in the early stages.
