Around the Big 12

It was an eventful Week 1 across the league. Utah climbed two spots in the AP poll and stayed put in the Coaches, sitting at No. 10 after beating OSU on the road.

Kansas State sank 10 spots, according to AP voters, and 11 in the Coaches poll after a loss to BYU, an upset that saw the Cougars climb into ranking (up 22 spots, according to the Coaches poll). This means OSU-Kansas State will at least be a ranked-on-ranked matchup.

Iowa State climbed a couple spots to 18/19 after throttling Arkansas State 52-7.

Other Big 12 schools receiving votes in the AP were UCF (3) and Arizona (2). In the Coaches poll, UCF received 35 votes while Arizona received 16 and Colorado received 5 after its upset win over Baylor.
