The Cowboys threw up the bat signal, and the Dark Knight has answered.

Kaydin Jones announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Wednesday. Nicknamed Batman, Jones is a four-star prospect who is the No. 394 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2026 class. He chose Oklahoma State over a final group of Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisville and Vanderbilt. He also had offers to Alabama, Oregon, Tennessee, Ole Miss and others.

Listed at 6-feet, 185 pounds, Jones has ran for at least 1,200 yards in his first three seasons of high school football. As a junior for the Trojans in 2024, Jones ran for 1,483 yards and 17 touchdowns. He ran for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore at Jenks after running for 1,264 yards and 11 touchdowns as a freshman at Broken Arrow. Production everywhere.

Jones has also been successful on the track, wining state titles on Broken Arrow relay teams as a freshman. MileSplit.com had Jones running an 11.18 100-meter dash and a 7.17 60-meter dash as a sophomore. That speed is evident in his football highlights.

The Cowboys’ new staff made a late push for Jones that proved fruitful. In January, he released a top five of OU, Kansas, Vandy, Louisville and Tennessee, but before his final decision, the OSU replaced the Vols and landed him. Part of that late push involved the Cowboy coaching staff tweeting out literal bat symbols. Jones also got a special Arkham-themed graphic for his official visit announcement. That official visit is scheduled for April 25-27, and Jones took an unofficial to Stillwater earlier this month. It’s a big get for new OSU running backs coach Cory Patterson.

Jones’ father is Kejuan Jones. Kejuan played for the Sooners in the early 2000s, running for 2,331 yards and 36 touchdowns at OU.

The 247Sports Composite ranking considers Jones the No. 5 player in the state of Oklahoma for the 2026 class. He’s the third Okie to commit to the Cowboys, joining Bixby linebacker Trey McGlothin, the No. 7 player from Oklahoma in those rankings, and Berryhill offensive lineman Aiden Martin, ranked 14th in the state. Jones is the Cowboys’ fifth commitment overall to join the fold, with the other two being edge rushers Landon Bland (Carthage, Missouri) and Jaylen Stewart (Pearland, Texas).

That five-man class ranks 31st nationally with Jones’ commitment — one spot ahead of the Cowboys’ in-state rival OU.
