OSU Hoops: Cowgirls Land ORU Transfer Guard Tyla Heard
Tyla is the younger sister of Cowgirl leading scorer Stailee Heard.
Jacie Hoyt has landed her second guard by way of the transfer portal, and this one has family ties to Stilly.
Tyla Heard announced her commitment to Oklahoma State via her X account on Friday. She announced she would enter the transfer portal March 15.
Heard is the younger sister of OSU’s leading scorer Stailee Heard. (Tyla even wore his sister’s jersey while on her OSU visit.)

The younger Heard made an immediate impact at ORU as a freshman last season. Heard averaged 14.3 minutes per game coming off the bench as a true freshman, averaging 2.3 points and 2.4 rebounds a game. She logged season highs of nine points and eight rebounds in the Golden Eagles’ nonconference game against Haskell.
Heard is the Cowgirls’ second addition by way of the portal. Former BYU guard Amari Whiting pledged to OSU on March 19.
