Two Four-Star Guards Announced Oklahoma State Offers

By the looks of it, Steve Lutz’s latest hire isn’t wasting any time getting on the recruiting trail.

Four-star guards Amir Jenkins and Aiden Derkack both announced Oklahoma State offers on Tuesday. Both hail from the Northeast. News also broke Tuesday that Lutz is hiring St. Bonaventure assistant Dana Valentine, a Massachusetts native.

Here is a little be about each of the guys.

Amir Jenkins

Out of Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, Amir Jenkins is the No. 94 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2026 cycle. That ranking lists him as the No. 11 point guard in the class and the No. 3 player from Massachusetts.

Listed at 6-foot-3, Jenkins is playing with Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC) in Adidas’ 3SSB. BABC is 8-0 to this point, where Jenkins averages 14.1 points, two rebounds, four assists and 1.9 steals a game.

He dropped 23 points in a game against New Heights NYC last month, where Jenkins was 10-for-15 from the field and 3-for-6 from 3-point range.

Along with his offer to the Cowboys, Jenkins also has offers to Boston College, Mississippi State, Maryland, Providence and others.

Jenkins represented the United States at the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup last year, where he won a gold medal.

Aiden Derkack

A top three player in the state of New Jersey, according to 247Sports, On3 and ESPN, Aiden Derkack is a 6-foot-5 guard out of Colonia.

ESPN considers Derkack as the No. 52 player in the 2026 cycle, with 247Sports (69) and On3 (88) also putting him in their top 100. Along with this offer to OSU, Derkack has also announced offers to Notre Dame, Rutgers, Miami, Villanova, Creighton and others.

He’s playing with Team Final on Nike’s EYBL circuit, where he has averaged 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists through 11 games. On May 18, Derkack had a 22-point performance against Meanstreets, going 9-for-11 from the field and 2-for-3 from 3-point range.

Derkack averaged 24.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists a game as a junior at Colonia, leading the Patriots to a 27-5 rebounds. He had more than double the points of any of his teammates while also leading the Patriots in rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.
