Oklahoma State to Face Final Four Team in Exhibition
The Cowboys are set to test themselves against Auburn.
Steve Lutz won’t have to wait for conference play, or even the season, to test out his second group of Cowboys.
On Tuesday, a press release confirmed that Oklahoma State will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to compete in an exhibition game against Auburn, which finished in the Final Four last season.
The game will be one of four exhibition competitions taking place that week as part of the Ballin in Boutwell event. OSU will face Auburn at 7 p.m. Oct. 15.
“We’re excited to build off the momentum from the inaugural event last year and expand the event to feature more games and teams,” said Jared Briskin, President Chief Executive Officer of Hibbett, in a release.
Alabama, which finished in the Elite Eight last season, is also participating in the exhibition competitions that week, though obviously not against the Cowboys.
The Big 12 has yet to announce times and dates for conference games, but we do know which conference teams the Cowboys face, how often and where the games will be played.
Oklahoma State is expected to host Texas A&M on Nov. 9 with other non-conference games taking place in Phoenix against Grand Canyon on Dec. 9 and in the Paycom Center against Oklahoma on Dec. 13.
