Cowboys Add UCLA Starting Linebacker Isaiah Chisom
Chisom had 84 tackles for the Bruins this season.
STILLWATER — UCLA linebacker Isaiah Chisom is joining the Cowboys, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.
Chisom, listed at 6-foot-1, 235 pounds, started 10 games for the Bruins in 2025 and finished second on the team in tackles this fall, recording 84 total, including 2.5 for loss. He also forced two fumbles.
He topped 10 tackles twice, including a 17-tackle performance in the opener against Utah.
On3 ranks him as the No. 29 linebacker and the No. 359 portal prospect overall in the transfer portal.
He should have two years of eligibility remaining. Chisom started 12 games during a two-year stretch at Oregon State. Through his 29-game career, Chisom has 173 total tackles, including 6.5 for loss.
Chisom arrives in Stillwater with 1,218 career snaps on defense. Pro Football Focus graded him out with a 66.5 overall making him UCLA’s No. 7 defender in 2025. He finished second on the team with 25 stops, which measures tackles that “constitute a ‘failure’ for the offense.”
Chisom is from Santa Clarita, California and was a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. Along with Oregon State, he had offers from USC, Colorado, Washington, Cal, Arizona and others.
He becomes the third linebacker OSU has added by way of the portal, joining North Texas transfer Ethan Wesloski and Arizona State’s Tate Romney.
Oklahoma State has fallen to third in transfer rankings according to 247Sports at the time of writing. The Cowboys rank 11th according to On3.
