All-American UCO Linebacker Jack Puckett Commits to Oklahoma State

A second UCO Broncho is making his way to Stillwater via the transfer portal.

Linebacker Jack Puckett announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Tuesday morning. Listed at 6-foot-1, 240 pounds, Puckett was an All-American at UCO in 2024 as a redshirt sophomore, a year in which he made 102 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and seven sacks in 13 games.

He played in 10 games in 2025, making 63 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Puckett is an Okie, playing his high school ball at Bixby where he won four state titles. He was also a two-time state qualifier on the wrestling mat for the Spartans. As a senior at Bixby, he made 110 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 12 sacks, per MaxPreps.

He redshirted at UCO in 2022 before taking part in all 11 of the Bronchos games, making eight starts, in 2023. That season saw Puckett make 61 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

So, in three years on the field at UCO, Puckett totaled 226 tackles, 37.5 tackles for loss and 14.5 tackles while interceptions a pass, breaking up seven and forcing a fumble.

Puckett joins running back William Mason as UCO players to transfer to Oklahoma State this offseason.

Puckett is the fourth linebacker the Cowboys have added via the portal, joining Ethan Wesloski (North Texas), Tate Romney (Arizona State) and Isaiah Chisom (UCLA).
